“In Celebration of the Song” poster

The good folks at Red Pill Entertainment wanted a poster to promote their singer/song writer showcase at The Sheldon. To compliment the “flavour” of the show, they requested an “organic, earthy” color scheme, “maybe a ‘sunset’ palette. Lauren Markow of Red Pill said of the final design, “Oh yeah, Ken…I like this…more texture, different color impact…and yet it’s ‘earthy with an edge.’” I love it when the client is happy.

R. Scott Bryan CD Release Show poster

R. Scott Bryan "It's Your Life" poster

R. Scott Bryan has recently released his newest CD, “It’s Your Life”, and needed a poster and tickets designed to promote his CD release show at The Chapel in St. Louis.

Bryan’s creative approach to songwriting is based on the music that first inspired him. “Music is a universal thing, a spiritual connection. I want my music to have that same directness – that same accessibility that first inspired me. As long as I can be true to that goal, I know I’m giving my best to the music.” It’s that same directness and accessibility I wanted to bring to the imagery in this poster – No clutter, simple color palette, a little rough around the edges, but approachable.
